Meceda, Centenarro Jose S. 11429674 A Blessing in Disguise Mistake as defined in Merriam Websters dictionary is the act of understanding (someone or something) incorrectly, to make a wrong judgement about (something), or to identify (someone or something) incorrectly. Personally, a mistake is something that has happened without the full knowledge of the doer, or something that resulted in consequence. No one is perfect, that is for certain. For we are just mere mortals, imperfect beings made full of flaws and limitations. Not everything will go as planned, nor will everything conspire as to our liking. There are to many factors that would affect our actions, factors that might either amplify or completely cancel-out our efforts. Thus we are bound to make mistakes. But these mistakes, these imperfections are not all that bad. According to Heritage (2011) â€Å"we use the word accident to absolve ourselves of any personal responsibility, but when we acknowledge our mistakes we are taking personal responsibility.† It is clear that we are often avoiding the responsibility brought by our actions, in hopes of freeing ourselves from the blame and consequences that accompanies the action that we made.
